Ceremony Writing

Have you asked a friend or family member to officiate your wedding?

You’re no doubt excited to have someone you love fill this very special role on your big day, but at the same time have questions like:

  • Will they be comfortable writing the ceremony?

  • Will they know what to do (and what not to do) during our ceremony?

  • Will they look relaxed in front of our guests?

  • Will they look confident leading the entire ceremony?

If you’ve asked yourself these questions, you’re in the right place!

As a Professional Officiant, I’ve helped one-time officiants and couples just like you pull off a flawless ceremony

by writing a beautiful script that includes easy-to-follow cues and instructions to take the stress out of it for both of you!

Whether you’re interested in a simple, no-frills ceremony or our signature, written-from-scratch Love Story Ceremony,

I’ve got you covered!

“My husband’s Uncle offered to officiate our wedding last year. It was his first time and he had no idea how to write a wedding ceremony. When we found out Kristi started offering ceremony writing we were so excited! The ceremony she wrote was so fun and personal, we STILL get compliments! We also had her coach Troy’s Uncle on how to actually perform the ceremony and rehearsal! Kristi made him feel super prepared and confident. We can’t say enough good things. Hire Kristi. You won’t regret it!”

~ Amy and Troy

Why Hire a Pro?

You’ve got one chance to have the wedding you’ve always dreamed of.

You want to be confident every word that joins you in marriage not only celebrates you, but

also flows beautifully, and doesn’t sound like a “pieced-together, copy and paste” mess.

You want your ceremony to be as creative as the two of you are, not the same old-fashioned ceremony you’ve heard at everyone else’s wedding.

Both Simple and Love Story written ceremonies come with easy-to-follow instructions and cues for your Officiant so they know what to say, when to say it and what happens next!

How it Works...

We get to know each other better through my Simple Ceremony or Love Story Questionnaire. Your answers will help me get a vibe for the flavor you have in mind for your ceremony along with any additional elements you’d like to include.

After reviewing your answers, I’ll create a written draft for your review and approval. The draft will include easy-to-follow directions for your officiant. You’ll have complete control over any changes (unlimited revisions for the Love Story Ceremony option and 2 draft revisions for the Simple Ceremony).

As soon as you’ve approved your ceremony, I’ll send a copy of the written script along with an audio recording to your officiant (if requested) so they can practice how to deliver it.

OPTIONAL: If you think your officiant could benefit from a little coaching, 60 minute one-on-one coaching sessions with Kristi is an available option where they will get the tools they need to lead a flawless wedding ceremony like a pro! Click HERE to learn more!

“Our ceremony couldn’t have been any more perfect! Our guests LOVED hearing our love story. Not everyone knew all the details so sharing them made it really special. Everyone was so impressed with the ceremony they thought my best friend officiated weddings for a living. We highly recommend Kristi and her writing/coaching services. She loves what she does and is so very fun to work with!”

~Sarah and Greg

Q: How soon can we get started?

A: As soon as payment is received, I’ll send you a link to your ceremony questionnaire and we can work on building your ceremony right away!

FAQ image

Q: How long before we get to see our 1st ceremony draft? How long will it take for our ceremony to be finished?

A. Depending upon my workload, you can expect to review your 1st draft within 2 to 3 working days. Most ceremonies are written and completed within 1-2 weeks, but isn’t truly finished until you say so! :)

FAQ image

Q: How will our officiant know what to do during the ceremony?

A. Every ceremony includes instructions so they’ll know when when to ask your guests to rise, be seated, what to do before the couple is officially pronounced married, when to get out of the way for the ceremonial kiss and how to conduct a pre and post ceremony announcement.

Q. Is Officiant Coaching really necessary? How much does it cost?

A. Because your Officiant (regardless of whether they’re a novice or pro) is legally responsible for the legality of your marriage, and because they’ve most likely never officiated a wedding before, coaching is strongly encouraged as it will give them direction and help them avoid the most common mistakes new officiants make. 60 minute one-on-one coaching is available for only $149.
