If you’ve been asked to officiate a friend or family member’s wedding, or you're considering becoming an Officiant yourself, you're in the right place!
Having never done this before, you have no idea what to expect, but, there’s one thing you do know.
You want to be as prepared as you possibly can and have the assurance you’ll be able to lead a wedding ceremony with the confidence of a pro.
I know what it's like to be asked to officiate a wedding having NO CLUE what I was doing!
I made a ton of mistakes fumbling my way through quite a few before I felt completely comfortable.
I’m so thankful those cringeworthy days are behind me!
It may surprise you (as it did me) that there’s so much more to officiating a wedding than just reading from a script and pronouncing a couple married.
The couple getting married will be counting on you to:
Write and deliver an engaging ceremony that matches their vibe
Coordinate or assist with the wedding rehearsal
Coordinate ceremony cues with the photographer and DJ
Lead a flawless ceremony with confidence like a pro
Know how to properly review, complete and file their marriage license on time
The Wedding Officiant, (regardless if they’re a one-time-only or pro) is legally responsible for the couple’s marriage? That means mistakes an Officiant makes, (even the little ones) could mean the couple was never legally married.
There's so much to learn, but you don’t have to go it alone.
I didn’t have anyone show me the ropes. The good news? You do!
As a professional Officiant with over 8 1/2 years experience, I'll walk you through everything you need to know from the behind the scenes responsibilities no one thinks about to confidently perform a wedding ceremony through 1-on-1 Officiant Coaching!
